[en] 150 to 200 Greek activists who were refusing to get back in the ship that would have taken them back to Greece, after Police charges, have been re-boarded and go home.

According to news reports in Greece 3 out of a total of 18 buses were not permitted to leave the port of Ancona. By "coincidence" these were the buses that the Greek organizing comittee for the International Forum in Genoa were supposed to ride in. There are 7 lightly injured demonstrators on board the ship that headed back to Patras. The demonstrators refused to board the ship and sat down by the ship's entrance. The police attacked them and physically shoved them back on the ship.
The Greek government has issued a (surprisingly strong) formal complaint, mainly because representatives of a Greek parliamentary party were among those refused entrance to Italy.
The good news is that the other 800 demonstrators that manged to leave the ship are now safely in Genoa.

These protests are not just about "being against free trade" as ABC NEWS (and I use the term "NEWS" loosely) reported. They are against oppression. Oppression of the worker, of the mother, of the wife, daughter, father, husband, brother, lover, partner. Oppression of the proletariat!

Greece is no stranger to oppression. When the call comes to help fight oppression, they, along with many other races, are there. Shame on the Italian Government, for bringing back its Fascist past!!
