Palestinian child dies in an explosion

Nablus - The 12 years old boy Ahmed Al-Shahroori martyred last night in a mysterious explosion in the West Bank city of Nablus while another was wounded in the same incident.
Medical sources said that the martyr was rushed to the Ittihad hospital but succumbed to his wounds.
Citizens expressed belief that the blast was the result of bombs leftover by the Zionist occupation army.
The occupation forces advanced into the city more than once in the past few days and arrested several Palestinian activists.




Thousands of detainees? children march in Hamas demonstration

Gaza - Thousands of Palestinian children took part yesterday morning in a massive march that demanded freedom for prisoners in Zionist occupation jails.
Around 10,000 Palestinian children, sons and daughters of prisoners and others joining out of solidarity with them, started a march from the legislative council while hoisting Palestinian flags and banners of the Hamas Movement, which organized the demonstration.
The children, who carried Islamic green flags and dressed in unified uniform, chanted slogans demanding freedom for the detainees.
They trekked the main road in Gaza city, Omar Al-Mukhtar, until they reached the Red Cross offices where they raised scores of posters in Arabic and English languages demanding freedom for the prisoners and questioning the validity of peace in the absence of their freedom.
A child, related to prisoner Mohammed Dukhan, delivered a statement on behalf of the detainees? offsprings before the Red Cross headquarters.
The statement asked the detainees to remain steadfast and to persevere, and strongly condemned the world silence towards the question of detainees.
It asked all international platforms to adopt that question and work for the immediate release of those prisoners and referred to the UN Secretary General, Kofi Anan, in particular.
The statement hailed all Mujahideen and strugglers behind bars and saluted all honorable men working for the question of those detainees.
The Red Cross representatives said they were surprised that the Zionist authorities had blocked a big number of relatives from visiting their detained next of kin without any explanations or reasons.
The representatives said that they had organized visits for around 900 persons relatives of detainees in Gaza in the period 13th June to 13th July.
They pointed out that the number of Palestinian prisoners registered with the Red Cross until end of last May had reached 7,730 including 990 locked up under administrative detention orders.
