40 Palestinian children on solidarity hunger strike

Rafah - Scores of Palestinian children members of the Children's Parliament in the southernmost city of Rafah yesterday went on a 12 hours hunger strike in solidarity with detainees in Zionist jails.
Forty children members of the Children's Parliament staged a sit-in at the tent pitched before the Palestinian legislative council in central Rafah and refrained from eating and drinking.
They hoisted photos of the detainees and chanted slogans against the continued detention of prisoners and the oppressive Zionist conditions attached to their release.
The child Samar Issa, 13, said that she was sharing in the sit-in to assert the importance of activating the question, which the Zionists are trying to tamper with.
She urged the detainees to be patient and to persevere, affirming that the entire Palestinian people were supporting them.
Tha?er Dahleez, 11, son of the detainee Nizar Dahleez said that the continued detention of the prisoners was rejected and unacceptable and they should be immediately set free without any conditions or distinction.
Sara Abu Sharkh, 14, fainted during the hunger strike and was hospitalized for treatment.
