Israeli troops opened fire randomly from the Abu Holy checkpoint near Khan Younis, Gaza Strip on Wednesday night. Reasons for the attack and the subsequent closing of the road were not issued by the army as of press time. At the same time, in Deir El Balah residents expressed fear that the escalating action in the area is a sign of possible house demolitions.
