ASSENBLEA EUROPEA PER I DIRITTI DELLE DONNE

Quest'anno, all'avvio del Forum Sociale Europeo, si effettuerà l'Assemblea
Europea per i Diritti delle Donne.
Per la prima volta in Europa più di 130 gruppi femministi e altre
organizzazioni da 37 paesi s'incontreranno,
scambieranno idee e dibatteranno sui diritti e la vita delle donne. A
fronte delle politiche neoliberiste
e patriarcali che discriminano in primo luogo le donne, lo scopo di questa
giornata è dare un insieme
d'informazioni sulla situazione delle donne in Europa; creare networks
europei per continuare a lavorare sui temi discussi
nell'Assemblea;programmare campagne Europee coordinate:costruire una
piattaforma di istanze ...e portare le nostre riflessioni e istanze nel
Forum Sociale Europeo.

Mattina
8: Registrazione (si consiglia di essere puntuali per evitare code)
9.30 Apertura dell'Assemblea
10am-13 Workshops sui seguenti temi
* Donne e guerra
* Donne migranti: agenti di trasformazione per un'altra Europa
*Lavoro,precarietà,povertà
* Violenza contro le donne
*Diriti sociali e riproduttivi
*Donne e potere. Un'altra Europa ha bisogno di noi

Pausa pranzo (possibili pasti poco costosi in loco)
14.30 - 16 Assemble plenaria con restituzione di workshops (15 minut per
workshop su lotte nei divesi paesi,domande,campagne..)
16,15-17,30: Dibattito
17,30 Chiusura

18: Riunione per la dimostrazione: corteo attraverso le strade di Bobigny,
con soste in punti simbolici, come il Tribunale in cui,31 anni fa,
Marie-Laire Chevalier fu processata per aver fatto un aborto, la Prefettura
per le migranti, con canzoni, slogan...
La manifestazione raggiungerà il luogo dell'apertura formale del FSE a
Bobigny

Più di 2000 donne (e uomini) sono attese/i da tutta Europa, con interventi
programmati , da Serbia, Romania, Russia, Irlanda, Polonia, Iugoslavia,
Palestina, Turchia, Italia, Svezia, Spagna,
Grecia,..e Francia.

For Another Europe in Another World
European Assembly for Women's Rights

This year, in the proceedings of the European Social Forum, the European
Assembly for Women's Rights will also take place. For the first time in
Europe, more than 130 feminist and other organisations from 37 countries
will meet, exchange ideas, and debate the rights and the lives of women.
Confronted by neoliberal and patriarchal policies that discriminate in the
first place against women, the aim of this day is to take stock of women's
situation throughout Europe; to create European networks to continue work on
the themes discussed during the Assembly; to plan joint European campaigns;
to construct a platform of demands.and to take our reflections and our
demands into the European Social Forum.

Morning
From 8am: Registration; come early to avoid the queues and to help us start
on time
9.30am: Opening of the Women's Assembly: there will be a plenary to launch
the day
10am-1pm: Workshops on the following themes:
* Women and war
* Migrant women: agents for another Europe
* Work, poverty, insecurity
* Violence against women
* Sexual and reproductive rights
* Women and power: Another Europe needs us

Lunch available on site

2.30-4pm: Plenary with report-backs, 15 minutes per workshop (accounts of
struggles from different countries, demands, campaigns.)
4-4.15pm: European manifesto to give form to the demands and campaigns
coming out of the workshops
4.15-5.30pm: Debate
5.30pm: Close

6pm: Assemble for demonstration
We will march through the streets of Bobigny, stopping at symbolic points,
such as the Bobigny courthouse where, 31 years ago, Marie-Claire Chevalier
was tried for having an abortion; the Prefecture for migrant women.
Bring banners, songs and slogans. This demonstration will join the opening
ceremony of the European Social Forum at Bobigny where we can celebrate.

More than 2,000 women (and men) are expected from all over Europe. Already
we know that we will have interventions from Serbia, Romania, Russia,
Ireland, Poland, Yugoslavia, Palestine, Turkey, Italy, Sweden, Spain,
Greece.and France.
