BAGHDAD- The Iraqi Health Ministry has disclosed that 36 nationals have AIDS in Baghdad alone.
Wessam Shakir Salman, head of the AIDS control unit in Baghdad, told reporters that those infected with the deadly disease include men, women and children.
Salman said that the Baghdad Health Department secretly draws three cubic centimeters of blood from all patients for AIDS testing.
He said that the health situation in Iraq has deteriorated following the downfall of the former regime and the unrestricted opening of borders for expatriates.
