Cresce la represssione per il G8
by indyGenova Wednesday, Jul. 18, 2001 at 11:22 AM mail: antig8@ecn.org

Genova is rapidly becoming a fortress by ways of increasing the barriers for the demonstrators to access to the red zone.
The city workers have been since yesterday replacing barricades from the streets where the latter were previously kept, to remove them onto the actual barricaded zones, all this done under police surveilance. The access to the red zone hasn't been denied yet, though, the police agents have been placed in the merging red-yellow areas, so as to keep an eye on eventual leak-zones, and carefully , so as to have a clear sight over the situation. The tension in the city is increasing due also to the presupposed or real unabomber attacks, which recently occured in random places around the town. This morning a bomb has been sent to the local police station of
San Fruttuoso, injuring badly a policeman on duty. The GSF has condemned this act, but has at the same time also taken the position against the terror strategy that the authorities(presuposedly secret services) are using to criminalise and weaken the cohesion of the movement.
In the afternoon, after the presupposed bomb alarm, a lorry- door has been blown up.During the same afternoon, a surrounding area of the stadium Carlini, has been put on alert due to a suspected bomb placement, which has been found out in a work-suitcase, laying in front of the stadium. .The politics of the police doesn not certainly favour a distention. This same morning, some boys from Tutte Bianche have been assaulted by the policemen on their way out of the shop where they were buying plexigll as protection material. The intention of police forces was to confiscate the materials. They did not succeeed , but they have taken one of the boys to the police station.
The boy has been denied the right to a lawyer, and his comrades have contacted one it instead.Unfortunately the lawyer didn't manage to trace the boy, as the police has taken him
away trough a secondary door. The police has then invented a story of stollen plexiglass and of a denunciation of the boys from the owner of the shop(:
This story was practically used as a pretext for a raid, perquisition of the stadium Carlini, where around 300 activists are currently lodging. The obvious lie has been dismantled by simple receids obtained from the owner of the shop.
Irruptions and controlls are taking place in different towns across Italy. In Torino 20 poilicemen have
raided the squatt Askatasuna as well as Ascova. In Bologna and in Rome, various houses of activists have been searched. In Milano, as well as in Rome, people have been arrested and searched under the pretext of possessing drugs among other reasons. The situation is intense also at the swiss-italian border , where a group of activists-cyclists on their way to Genova has been denied entrance, and has after several repeated attempts to come with the trains, been violently kicked off the train.4 people have been arrested. As an answer to this violations, the group has occupied an empty house at the Chiasso border .Suddenly attacked by the police, the border demonstrators have occupied the highway.
The situation is becoming heavy. We need you all: join us in Genova.

Genoa is rapidly becoming a fortress, increasing the barriers and restricting demonstrators' access to the red zone.

The City workers have been busy since yesterday erecting street barricades under police surveilance. Access to the red zone has not yet been denied, but police have been placed in the merging red-yellow areas to keep an eye on eventual leak-zones, and to have a clear overview of the situation.

The tension in the City is increasing, due also to the fabricated or real "unabomber"-style attacks, which have recently occured in random places around the town. On Monday morning, a package-bomb was sent to the local police station of Santo Fruttuoso, badly injuring the policeman on duty. The Genoa Social Forum has condemned this act, but has at the same time also taken a stance against the terror strategy that the authorities (perhaps the secret services) to are using to criminalise and weaken the cohesion of the
movement. Police policy is difficult to discern.

In the afternoon after the supposed bomb alarm, a lorry- door was blown up. During the same afternoon, that area around Carlini Stadium, where 300 activists are currently lodging, was searched due to a bomb threat. A small incendiary device was found inside a suitcase, laying in front of the stadium.

This same morning, several Tutte Bianche members were apprehended by policemen on their way out of a shop where they were buying plexiglass as protection material. The intention of police forces was to confiscate the materials. They did not succeeed, but they took one member to the police station.

The member was denied the right to a lawyer, and his comrades have contacted one for him. Unfortunately the lawyer didn' t manage to trace the member, as the police had taken him away through a secondary door. The police then invented a story of stolen plexiglass and of a denunciation of the Bianchis from the ownerì of the shop.

This story was used as a pretext for a raid of the Carlini stadium. The obvious lie was dismantled by simple receipts obtained from the owner of the shop.

Altercations and controls are taking place in different towns across Italy. In Torino 20 poilicemen have raided the squats Askatasuna and Ascova. In Bologna and in Rome, houses of various activists have been searched. In Milan, as well as in Rome, people have been arrested and searched under the pretext of their supposedly possessing drugs, among other reasons.

The situation is tense also at the swiss-italian border, where a group of activist-cyclists on their way to Genoa were denied entrance. After the cyclists' several repeated attempts to cross in an activist train, they were violently kicked off the train. 4 people have been arrested. In response to these violations, the group has occupied an empty house by the police station and border demonstrators have also occupied the highway.

The situation is getting heavy. We need you all: join us in Genoa.

Il linguaggio
by damiano Tuesday, Jul. 17, 2001 at 10:55 AM mail:

...ci saremo!!
by Collettivo AuTonOMo psicologia-FI Tuesday, Jul. 17, 2001 at 2:33 PM mail:

by posillipus Wednesday, Jul. 18, 2001 at 10:29 AM mail:
