[Belgrado] Appello per il Pride

APPELLO PER IL BELGRADO PRIDE -
20 SETTEMBRE 2009 - RIPROVIAMOCI!!

Sapete cos'è successo nel primo ed unico Pride della Serbia del 2001? Centinaia di attivisti GLBT riunitisi per il pride sono stati contestati da un migliaio di giovani fascisti e nazionalisti e selvaggiamente pestati, sotto gli occhi della polizia che ha assistito al massacro nell'indifferenza più totale. Il pride di quel giorno è stato ridefinito il "Pride del massacro" con un totale di 40 persone ferite e le attività del movimento GLBT sono rimaste bloccate per anni per la paura di nuovi attacchi.

Dopo 8 anni gli attivisti serbi si sentono pronti per riprovarci, per far sentire forte la loro presenza contro le discriminazioni forti che ancora esistono nella società serba nei confronti di chiunque non rientri nella norma eterosessista.

Invitiamo tutti a partecipare direttamente al Pride di Belgrado, c'è bisogno di un forte supporto internazionale perchè l'evento si svolga senza problemi, e per non lasciare spazio a queste merde fasciste e nazionaliste, nè in Serbia nè altrove!

Belgrade Pride invites lesbians, gays, bisexuals, asexuals, intersexuals, trans and queer folk, their friends, families and all those who wish to build society free of fear, violence and discrimination – to join us in Pride parade!
You may recall that the first and last attempt to hold a Lesbian and Gay Pride Parade in June 2001, ended in what we from the lesbian movement named Massacre parade: when around a thousand young male fascists gathered to beat us up. They made it impossible to hold any of the scheduled activities: 40 persons were injured, and the lgbtiq community was held hostage by fear for many years afterward.

We the activists have long been asking ourselves, "Is it time?, are we ready?" and finally this year, new people came and said "YES!".   Lots of activities, and many negotiations with police and the Ministry for Human Rights, are underway to secure a peaceful parade.  The Mayor, who was once one of the leaders of the student protests anti-MIlosevic, is against the parade!

We obviously need many of us to be here!
